12 Best Bars You Should Visit in Florence

I don’t know about you, but when it comes to the types of bars I like to visit when I’m traveling, I’m all over the place. I love an incredible rooftop view sipping on a fancy cocktail, and I also enjoy finding the grittiest dive bars that the locals in the area frequent. In this blog, I’ll outline the best bars to visit in Florence for whatever your vibe is. A lot of these suggestions were made to me by locals as well, so you know they’re good.

As a note, in Italy a “bar” is typically a very small place that serves coffee, a few drinks, and mostly breakfast or a quick bite to eat. Italians stand at the bar and sip their espresso and eat their cornetto and leave quickly, so if you see “BAR” on a sign outside this is likely what you will find. I refer to drinking establishments as bars because I’m American, but I’ve embraced using the word pub to differentiate.

Bars in Florence With a View:

1. Signorvino:

Located right on the Arno River, Signorvino is not just a wine shop but also a perfect spot for an aperitivo with a breathtaking view of Ponte Vecchio. The small terrace in the back offers an intimate setting, making it an ideal choice for a romantic evening or aperitivo with friends. Be sure to reserve in advance for the best seat as the terrace is quite small.
