Lincoln, Nebraska isn’t the most popular travel destination, but if you’re visiting this charming Midwest city, you’re most definitely going to want to try these delicious restaurants.
Honest Abe’s Burgers and Freedom
Honestly, the city named after the 13th president couldn’t not have a restaurant named after him, right? Honest Abe’s takes Nebraska Beef to a whole new level with their unique flavor combinations and delicious burgers.
Grateful Bread
Now this is a tricky one. Grateful Bread is one of the best vegetarian restaurants I’ve ever been to, but the owners don’t make it easy for you to enjoy their exquisite cuisine. The hours vary by season and they are only open for lunch one or two days a week. They don’t make a ton of food, so when they run out for the day they close. If you are lucky enough to catch them at a time when they’re open, Grateful Bread is a must (even if you’re not vegetarian).
Pepe’s Bistro
Pepe’s is another incredible vegetarian spot that can be difficult to go to due to availability, but it’s more accessible than Grateful Bread and the hours are usually consistent from Tuesday to Saturday. Pepe is an incredibly kind person and he makes mouth watering Mexican food. Seriously a gem of the city, Pepe’s Bistro is the perfect spot.
Yia Yia’s Pizza
You may be wondering, why is a pizza place named after a Greek word, but Yia Yia’s offers a vibe that’s unmatched. With over 150 craft beers to choose from and hundreds of pizza combinations, it’s a great place to grab a pint and a slice.
The Hub Cafe
The Hub Cafe is located just outside of downtown along the bike trail and has an amazing breakfast and brunch menu. They locally source their ingredients and the atmosphere is peaceful.
